Order of the Gage
Kingdom of Æthelmearc
Heavy Weapons Order of High Merit

The Order of the Gage is the award for High Merit in the the art of Heavy Weapons Combat.  It was created at the Crown Tournament during the first reign of the kingdom, by Yngvar and Caryl.

This award is given by the Crown of Æthelmearc with the advice of the current members of the Order.

These Honorable Lords and Ladies have demonstrated a high level of talent in the heavy weapons martial activities of the society.  
The award comes with a Grant Of Arms, which is the next level of arms after an Award Of Arms. If you know of a gentle living who is a subject Æthelmearc who have these qualities, and you feel they should be considered for this award, please send a recommendation letter to one or more of the following:
The Crown , The Heirs , and/or the Gage Clerk .
Sending a letter to one or all of them will get the person added to our list which will bring the gentle you recommend to the attention of all the members of the Order. Whichever you do, a courtesy copy to the clerk is always a good idea.
